Com Hem’s Q4 EBITDA up 14%

Sweden’s largest cableco Com Hem´s revenue fell slightly in the fourth quarter of 2012 compared to the corresponding quarter of 2011, at SEK1.145 billion (USD182 million) compared to SEK1.152 billion, while EBITDA increased by 14% year-on-year to SEK577 million. The operator increased its homes connected slightly during 4Q12 to 1.749 million, up from 1.747 million at the end of September, and an increase from 1.739 million at end-2011. Com Hem’s number of unique subscribers decreased slightly to 828,000 as of 31 December 2012 compared to 831,000 three months earlier. Cable broadband subscriptions stood at 543,200 at end-December, down marginally from 544,300 in September; fixed telephony subscriptions fell to 347,600 from 355,200 the previous quarter; and triple-play subscribers taking TV, internet and voice services dropped to 263,600 from 270,800.
