Digiweb unveils new 20Mbps broadband offer

1 Feb 2013

Irish altnet Digiweb has launched a new suite of satellite-based broadband internet packages, offering maximum connection speeds of 20Mbps/6Mbps (down/uplink). The operator’s new tariffs, which are built on its Eutelsat Tooway satellite broadband delivery system, start from EUR32.95 (USD44.71) plus VAT.

Furthermore, Digiwb says that in collaboration with Eutelsat it is looking to introduce a ‘true’ unlimited product – dubbed ‘Tooway Absolute’ – available to a total of 20,000 customers across Europe, on a first come, first served basis. Digiweb head of operations Declan Campbell said of the new higher speed service: ‘This is excellent news for Ireland as so much of our country’s growth is dependent on the digital economy and it is crucial that businesses and indeed homeowners, have access to high quality internet connectivity … With download speeds of 20Mbps now available through Tooway, consumers will have the certainty of secure, always-on, high quality broadband.’
