Ukrtelecom agrees to buy Krymtel assets

In a statement released yesterday, Ukrainian full-service telco Ukrtelecom announced the conclusion of a preliminary agreement to purchase the telecoms network assets of financially stricken Crimean regional operator Krymtel. The agreement includes provisions to ensure services and technical support for customers on the network, while Ukrtelecom stated that it intends to take over the numbering resources of Krymtel and to renew its contract for the provision of telecoms services in the region.
