7 Jan 2013

Ukrainian news site ProIT reports that the country’s parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, adopted a resolution in late December 2012 under which two parliamentary committees will be formed, responsible for IT and telecoms. A new Committee for Information and Information Technology will be created following the resolution, whilst work will continue on forming the planned Committee on Transport and Communications, headed by former Minister of Infrastructure Borys Kolesnikov. Details of the actual powers held by the two committees are yet to be reported.
