Cosmo Bulgaria secures EUR153m syndicated loan

The Greek telco OTE has revealed that its Bulgarian cellular subsidiary, Cosmo Bulgaria, has secured a EUR153 million (USD201 million) syndicated loan agreement. The deal provides banks the option to increase their commitments until the end of February 2013, up to a maximum total loan amount of EUR200 million. The loan is unsecured and has a tenor of four years. Cosmo launched commercial services under the GloBul brand in September 2001 and claimed 4.44 million subscribers and a 36% share of the Bulgaria’s mobile market as of end-September 2012, according to data from TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database.
