RACSA set to launch VOD, IPTV

State-backed broadband operator Radiografica Costarricense (RACSA) will launch an over-the-top (OTT) internet TV service in early December, alongside a video-on-demand (VOD) option dubbed ‘One Play’, reports NexTV Latam. The telco’s VOD library will offer 3,500 movies at launch, though this is expected to increase to 5,000 in Q1 2013. Further, RACSA plans to offer IPTV from January 2013, with more than 60 channels available, eight of which will be high definition (HD).
