Unknown company awarded 1980MHz-2000MHz licence

23 Nov 2012

Ukraine’s National Commission for Communications and Information Regulation (NCCIR) has issued a company named First Investment Alliance with nationwide broadband wireless radio frequencies in the 1980MHz-2000MHz band, reports ProIT. In September the Cabinet approved a revision to the national frequency plan (Decree No. 838) allocating bands 1900MHz-1920MHz and 1980MHz-2000MHz for mobile broadband services. Previously, national 3G CDMA network operator PEOPLEnet had lobbied for the right to apply for mobile licences in these bands.
