Globul bidders have until the end of November

According to Sofia News Agency, companies interested in acquiring Bulgarian cellco Globul have until the end of November to submit non-binding bids. Earlier this week Turkcell and Turk Telekom lodged offers for the mobile operator, which is currently wholly owned by Cosmote, the mobile arm of Greek telco OTE. In addition to Globul, OTE is also looking to divest its Bulgarian electronic appliance retail chain Germanos; the Greek firm is seeking no less than EUR800 million (USD1.02 billion) for the companies according to reports. The sale is expected to be completed by the middle of next year at the latest.
