Russian telecoms giant MegaFon has decided not to proceed with an IPTV launch based on the platform it has been testing for the last two years, DigitalTVEurope reports, and has chosen a new supplier to help move the project forward. The website notes that MegaFon had been collaborating with Russian middleware provider Netris to test IPTV services across its network in the city of Togliatti, but has now switched to rival domestic firm BCC. No timeline has been revealed for MegaFon’s projected IPTV launch.
