Bulgarian cellcos to extend coverage to Sofia Metro underground system

13 Nov 2012

Three Bulgarian mobile operators – MobilTel (M-Tel), Cosmo (GloBul) and Vivacom – have joined together to begin the construction of cellular networks to cover the underground rail system in the capital city, Sofia. There should be coverage on underground platforms and in tunnels by March next year, the companies say. They are collaborating on the project in order to reduce their respective deployment costs.
