Ericsson to bolster Zain network

2 Oct 2012

Zain Jordan has selected Ericsson to upgrade its network with the Swedish vendor’s core switch technology and charging system solutions, paving the way for a future upgrade to 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE). AME Info reports that Zain has signed a five-year contract with Ericsson for the upgrade work. The new charging solution will allow Zain to deliver more personalised services and tailor packages and pricing to a customer’s usage. The cellco’s CEO Ahmad Al Hanandeh commented that: ‘With this upgrade our individual customers will enjoy bundled voice and data services with tailored offerings and controlled spending… Our enterprise customers will [also] enjoy our integrated services with flexible, tailored and bundled offers.’
