Vodafone NL to offer 3G femtocell from September, paper says

Vodafone’s Dutch mobile unit has revealed plans to launch a new 3G femtocell to residential and business customers from 3 September to improve 3G coverage, Telecompaper reports. Branded ‘SignaalPlus Plug & Play’, the new device will connect to the user’s fixed broadband network to boost indoor capacity, affording femtocell coverage of around 30m, Vodafone said. The femtocell is designed to work with a Vodafone SIM card and can support up to eight concurrent connections. SignaalPlus Plug & Play costs EUR85 (USD104.9) for residential users and EUR70.25 (excluding VAT) for businesses.
