Georgia’s largest mobile operator by subscribers, Geocell, has announced the upgrade of its mobile broadband network in select locations to HSPA+, enabling maximum download rates of up to 21Mbps. The faster speeds are currently available in the capital Tbilisi and Kutaisi. Geocell is offering its ‘New Generation Geocell Connect’ package which includes the ZTE MF669 USB modem – supporting theoretical down-/upload speeds of up to 21Mbps/5.76Mbps – and 3GB of data per month. The new package is available at a promotional price of GEL65 (USD39.5) until 20 July.
