DT may consider sale of Dutch, UK units, report says

17 Apr 2012

According to a report by Financial Times Deutschland, which cites unnamed sources, German telecoms giant Deutsche Telekom (DT) may consider the sale of its operations in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom in 2013. The report states that having looked into selling the units in the past, DT has given the management teams at T-Mobile Netherlands and Everything Everywhere (DT’s 50-50 joint venture in the UK with France Telecom) time to improve results at the two cellcos, ahead of a review of a potential sale next year. Possible future sale proceeds would be reinvested in Europe, the report adds.
