Ukrtelecom reaches 1.4 million broadband customers

5 Apr 2012

Ukrainian quadruple-play provider Ukrtelecom has reported that it signed up a net 63,000 additional fixed broadband subscribers in the first quarter of 2012 to reach a total of 1.406 million at the beginning of April. The telco attributed its continuing growth to interest generated by promotions, including offering 100 days of internet access free, and a modem costing UAH1 (USD0.12), an offer which runs until the end of May. Ukrtelecom also declared that it aims to increase its rate of broadband subscriber growth during the year.
