Videotron reports 12% mobile, 2% broadband growth in Q4

Quebec-based cableco Videotron reports that its cable broadband subscriber base grew by 2% quarter-on-quarter in the three months ended 31 December 2011, to 1.333 million, whilst its 3G mobile service increased its subscriptions by 12% in the same period to 291,000. Videotron’s cable telephony service reached 1.205 million Quebec households and organisations at the end of December, up by 26,000 in the fourth quarter, and the company reported an end-year total of 1.86 million basic cable TV customers, including 1.40 million digital viewers, up 16,000 and 52,000 in three months.
