Shaw launches 250Mbps, HD TV cable bundles under ‘Exo’ brand

Western Canada-based Shaw Communications has upgraded its range of cable broadband and TV services under the new ‘Exo’ brand. Based on a deployment of DOCSIS 3.0 cable technology, Shaw has upgraded its maximum internet download speeds from 100Mbps to 250Mbps and introduced new packages of high definition (HD) channels (1,080p resolution), with extra features including ‘Exo On Demand’ allowing re-running of primetime TV shows. An on-demand library is provided with 7,000 titles, including 1,200 HD titles, available via TV or laptop/PC, with new programming added daily, Shaw announced.
