Vodafone Ireland’s 2010/11 profits fell 17%

Vodafone Ireland’s latest filing to the Companies’ Registration Office shows that its net profit for the financial year ended 31 March 2011 dipped by almost 17% year-on-year to EUR106 million (USD139 million). Full-year service revenue inched downwards by 2.7% in the same period it said, while operating profit declined 17% from EUR122 million to EUR102 million and pre-tax profit dropped by a similar margin to EUR106 million from EUR127 million previously. Vodafone Ireland invested EUR60 million in its network during fiscal 2010/11 and said it intends to increase spending on its network during the current financial year.
