3 Feb 2012

Flow Jamaica has announced plans to invest USD350 million over the next five years to upgrade its infrastructure and offer new services. According to Jamaica Gleaner, the cableco, a subsidiary of Columbus Communications, has outlined USD40 million to be spent in the coming year with a view to increasing download speeds available to end-users to 300Mbps, and offering 3D TV. Flow public relations manager Jeanette Lewis suggested that the cableco might branch into wireless internet services, though the company has not yet been awarded a concession granting access to radioelectric spectrum frequencies to deliver the offering.
