Ukraine will launch its first telecoms satellite in the fourth quarter of 2013, according to the head of its space agency, Yury Alexeyev. The USD292 million satellite project, financed with a Canadian loan, would also offer telecoms services for countries across Central Asia and North Africa, the official told reporters, with a pay-off period of seven to eight years.
