Ukrainian WiMAX operator FreshTel is continuing its expansion drive with a plan to launch its broadband services in eight additional regional urban centres in the first half of this year, reports Telecompaper citing Tv.net.ua. The network will also be switched on in 16 additional municipal centres in January-June 2012, as well as some smaller communities. FreshTel’s existing WiMAX coverage spans five regional centres including Kiev – and a total of ‘28 agglomerations’ – after expanding from a base in the Kiev region in the second half of 2011.
