TFL to offer international data services

3 Oct 2011

The Fiji Times reports that incumbent local telephony operator Telecom Fiji Limited (TFL) will soon start offering international data services thanks to the recent opening up of the international gateway, allowing it direct access to the Southern Cross Cable network. TFL plans to launch an international private lease circuit (IPLC) service offering a range of bandwidths to suit small- to large-corporate clients. In a statement the telco said: ‘Telecom Fiji provides a one-stop-shop solution whereby Telecom can arrange for an end-to-end service with offshore international service providers, and have the customer receive only a single bill for the full service … In terms of fault reporting and resolution, Telecom also becomes the single point of contact for any issues with the service. This saves the customer the hassle of having to deal with multiple parties for billing or any other technical issues.’
