San Jose triple-play

29 Sep 2011

Luxembourg-backed telco Amnet Costa Rica has launched IP-based local and international telephony services in the San Jose metropolitan area, reports local news La Nacion. The operator will be the first operator in the country to provide triple-play with TV, telephony and broadband. State-owned Grupo ICE provides broadband, fixed and wireless services, but does not bundle the options. Whilst currently limited to San Jose, Amnet, wholly owned by Millicom International Cellular, will expand the offering to other areas where it has presence.
