Telia reaches 153 LTE locations; 231 by end-year

TeliaSonera Sweden (Telia) has expanded its Long Term Evolution (LTE) mobile broadband network to 153 locations, and will reach 231 locations by the end of this year, the Stockholm-based operator announced in a statement. The 4G cellular expansion during the remainder of this year will include smaller towns and tourist locations. The LTE network, launched commercially in December 2009, is advertised as offering ‘practical’ mobile data download speeds of up to 80Mbps.
