Deadline for Ukrtelecom mobile interest set for 8 October

22 Sep 2011

Ukraine’s Ukrtelecom has set 8 October 2011 as the deadline for interested parties to submit proposals to participate in the planned auction for the telco’s 3G mobile assets, its press department reported. Earlier this month Ukrtelecom, which was privatised in a deal completed in March this year, established a new company, TriMob, to house all of its mobile assets. The telco is Ukraine’s only UMTS 2100MHz licensee, and has nearly 700,000 3G mobile subscribers on its W-CDMA/HSPA network.
