Cogeco Cable acquires MTO Telecom

Following on from its recent acquisition of Quiettouch, Canada’s Cogeco Cable has purchased fibre operator MTO Telecom, which provides services on the island of Montreal for carrier, business and public sector clients. MTO will be integrated with Cogeco Data Services (CDS), Cogeco Cable’s business communications subsidiary. Tony Ciciretto, president, CDS said: ‘The acquisition of MTO will provide Cogeco Data’s customers with access to an extended network and a broader range of services, including high-bandwidth network infrastructure, managed connectivity and voice services, data centre facilities, collocation and managed IT services.’
