Cable Bahamas rejoice with ‘Revoice’

17 Aug 2011

Cable Bahamas has announced that it will be launching a fixed line voice service, dubbed ‘Revoice’, at the end of August 2011, allowing it to offer triple-play bundles with its broadband and cable TV offerings. Residential customers will be able to manage call features over the internet, and corporate and business customers will have access to private branch exchange (PBX) solutions. In an interview with a local newspaper the telco’s marketing manager, Dave Burrows, said that trials of the offering over the previous months had been very successful, and claimed that there was a high demand for the service. According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, at the end of March 2011 Cable Bahamas was the country’s largest cableco by subscribers, with around 44,000 broadband users out of a total market of 70,750.
