SLT ploughing USD45m into Mobitel

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) has earmarked investment of LKR5 billion (USD45 million) to upgrade and expand the network of its mobile subsidiary Mobitel, it reported in a stock exchange filing. SLT added that the investment would be made on a ‘staggered basis’ over six months to expand cellular coverage and capacity, and carry out network modernisation.
