15 Jul 2011

Reuters reports that private equity firm Nordic Capital has pulled out of a bidding partnership with Cinven for 100% ownership of Sweden’s largest cable television operator Com Hem. Final bids are due by the end of this week, with Cinven facing competition from BC Partners for the cableco which current owners Carlyle and Providence hope could raise up to USD2.7 billion. A third, unnamed rival bidder is also eyeing the company, according to sources quoted by the report.
