Over the last two months Bulgarian telco MobilTel (M-Tel) has upgraded and expanded its 3G network. Download speeds of up to 42Mbps based on DC-HSPA+ technology are now available in Sofia, Ruse, Plovdiv, Burgas and Varna, whilst 540 more settlements now have access to speeds of up to 21Mbps HSPA+ standard with a further 520 towns upgraded to 14.4Mbps HSDPA. M-Tel claims that the upgrades improved wireless internet access for more than six million Bulgarians.
