Telefonica Slovakia to launch commercial 3G network on 18 July

Telefonica O2 Slovakia has announced that the official launch date for its commercial 3G network operations will be 18 July 2011, when it will provide 33% of the population with W-CDMA/HSPA coverage in 24 towns and cities. The Spanish-owned cellco confirmed that by mid-July the 3G network will cover the following locations: Bratislava, Senec, Malacky, Trnava, Nitra, Nove Zamky, Komarno, Levice, Prievidza, Trencín, Povazska Bystrica, Zilina, Martin, Liptovsky Mikulas, Banska Bystrica, Zvolen, Presov, Kosice, Bardejov, Pezinka, Spisska, Ves, Poprad, Michalovce and Humenne.
