Airtel Bangladesh in USD300m expansion drive

Airtel Bangladesh, part of the Indian giant Bharti Airtel, has embarked on a network infrastructure expansion programme costing USD300 million, in which it has rapidly deployed 200 new base stations, with a further 700 base stations to be installed shortly, the GSM operator announced. It added that the expansion has already taken its footprint to 160 additional towns.
