3 May 2011

T-Mobile’s Czech mobile unit has increased its HSPA+ coverage to 45% of the population, adding a further 114 cities and 292 towns and municipalities to its footprint. Thanks to the latest expansion, the cellco now boasts 1,221 3G base transceiver stations in the country, it said. In order to stimulate take-up, T-Mobile CR is offering customers a free trial of its HSPA+ supported ‘Internet for Travel’ package. For a refundable payment of CZK2,000 (USD122.5), users can receive a SIM card and Huawei E1823 USB modem to test the service for up to seven days.
