Kyivstar’s FTTH network continues to grow

11 Apr 2011

Broadband TV News reports that Ukrainian operator Kyivstar has now connected 43 cities to its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network, after it added six more during the first quarter of the year. Kyivstar subscribers in those cities are offered connections of up to 80Mbps, with the cheapest tariff costing UAH55 (USD6.90) per month. According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, following Kyivstar’s merger with Beeline Ukraine (including Golden Telecom) in November 2010, the newly expanded company claimed more than 266,000 broadband subscribers at the end of the year.
