7 Apr 2011

Columbus Communications and Cable & Wireless Communications (CWC) have signed a deal with the Jamaican government for the expansion of broadband services. Information Minister Daryl Vaz says the agreement, valued at USD6.4 million, will pave the way towards bringing reliable internet access to all high schools, post offices and libraries. High speed internet is currently largely limited to urban areas. The two companies operate in the Caribbean under the brand names Flow and LIME respectively.
