Unicom to roll out HSPA+ in 56 cities

China Unicom will launch High Speed Packet Access (HSPA+) services offering download speeds of up to 21Mbps in 56 cities by 17 May, according to a report carried by www.163.com, which cites chairman Chang Xiaobing. According to Chang, the cellco will also speed up the deployment of fibre-optic networks.
