Com Hem inks agreement with municipal housing group

24 Mar 2011

Sweden’s leading cableco Com Hem and SABO, an association representing around 300 municipal housing companies, have signed a cooperation agreement covering a total of around 730,000 managed homes. The agreement aims to ensure the best possible development of infrastructure and services for members of SABO, including the broadest possible range of triple-play TV, broadband and telephone services for residents. Com Hem has deployed its HFC-based high speed cable infrastructure in many of the municipal housing companies’ properties, whilst many of the properties host open networks. The cooperation agreement includes guidelines as to how parties will work together for further development of the open network model. The cooperation agreement is valid until 31 December 2013.
