Telecom Srpske says revenues down but profits up

3 Mar 2011

Bosnia’s Telekom Srpske has posted revenue of BAM488 million (USD345 million) for 2010, down 11.3% from 2009 amid difficult economic conditions in the country. Lower costs, however, helped the company to record a 5.3% rise in pre-tax profit to BAM120.3 million. Reuters reports that general manager Predrag Culibrk told a news conference yesterday that the company’s wireless subscriber base increased 9.4% to 1.34 million. Mobile revenues accounted for 55% of Telekom Srpske’s total sales in 2010. The number of fixed line subscribers fell 3% to 344,132.
