Elisa reports 2010 results

Finnish telco Elisa has reported a 2% increase in revenue for the year ended 31 December 2010 to EUR1.463 billion (USD2 billion). EBITDA and EBIT were virtually unchanged on 2009 at EUR485 million and EUR268 million respectively, while profit before tax (excluding non-recurring items) amounted to EUR237 million compared to EUR235 million in 2009. Earnings after tax were down from EUR177 million to EUR151 million. Operationally, Elisa ended 2010 with 3.36 million domestic wireless customers with a further 438,200 in Estonia. In Finland it had 395,900 traditional fixed lines in service, in addition to 467,200 broadband users and 250,400 cable TV subscribers.
