Buzz off: Beeline residential broadband becomes Kyivstar in May

11 Feb 2011

Ukrainian sister operators, Beeline and Kyivstar, both part of the Vimpelcom group, have announced that Beeline’s residential fixed broadband subscribers will be switched over to Kyivstar from 10 May, after Beeline ceases to directly offer fixed broadband subscriptions from 15 February. Telecompaper reports that an agreement has been concluded for Kyivstar to provide broadband services for existing Beeline customers going forward. As previously reported by CommsUpdate, parent Vimpelcom has said that the Kyivstar brand name would replace all Beeline-branded mobile and fixed/broadband services by the end of 2011.
