Swedish cable operator Com Hem has reported annual revenues for the year ended 31 December 2010 of SEK4.3 billion (USD486.2 million), an increase of 6% compared to 2009. Operating profit rose 13% to SEK1.85 billion, while CAPEX for the year was SEK680 million. The company reported that at the end of 2010 it had 537,400 broadband users (up 3% year-on-year), 370,500 cable telephony lines (+7%) as well as 619,900 digital TV subscribers (up 8% year-on-year); the number of triple-play subscribers rose to 272,600 from 264,200. Com Hem reports that more than half of new broadband subscribers take a package offering download speeds of in excess of 25Mbps. Com Hem’s ‘On Demand’ service is available to 1.5 million Swedish homes, offering access to some 1,900 movies, many of them in high definition.
