Telkom eyes USD777m loan from Bank Rakyat Indonesia

7 Jan 2011

Indonesia’s largest telecoms operator by subscribers and revenue, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom), is looking to secure an IDR7 trillion (USD777 million) loan from Bank Rakyat Indonesia to help fund its 2011 CAPEX plans. The facility forms part of the total IDR17 trillion capital expenditure Telkom has set for the year, according to finance director Sudiro Asno. Antara News quotes Sudiro as saying that around 40% of the funding requirement will come from bank loans and the remainder from internal resources. The Telkom official hopes to conclude a credit agreement with the state-owned bank by mid-2011.
