TFL unveils revised local call rate charges

5 Jan 2011

Local services operator Telecom Fiji Limited (TFL) has implemented new local calling charges for calls made within the same region which critics say could lead to an increase in costs for end users, dependent on the length of the call. According to TFL chief executive Rohan Mail, in 2011 the telco’s local calls within the same region will change from FJD0.16 (un-timed) for residential customers and FJD0.12 per 60 minutes for business users, to FJD0.08 per minute for all customers. Mail went on to say that the process of realigning its local calls pricing will hopefully result in a more simple and easy to understand price structure.
