The Ukrainian News Agency reports that five companies have submitted applications to view tender documents for the privatisation of national PTO Ukrtelecom, ahead of an auction of a 92.8% stake scheduled for 28 December. The State Property Fund (SPF) chairman Oleksandr Riabchenko announced the news at a press conference, in which he said that the SPF had signed agreements on ‘familiarisation with the tender documents’ with three companies, including one Ukrainian company (assumed to be SCM Group), one Russian company (assumed to be MTS/Sistema) and one other foreign company (announced earlier in the month but as yet unidentified). He added that another two Ukrainian-registered companies have submitted applications to sign confidentiality agreements.
