Deutsche Telekom, Telekom Austria and France Telecom have purchased tender documents for the sale of a 51% stake in Telekom Srbija, writes Bloomberg citing Telecommunications Minister Jasna Matic. The trio have until 26 November to enter formal bids, the report goes on to add. Telekom Srbija is presently 20% owned by Greece’s Hellenic Telecommunications Organizations (OTE), which has not yet made public whether it plans to sell its stake. If it does decide to divest the holding, the Serbian government had said it will lower the amount it is prepared to sell to 31%. The sale is to be completed in the first quarter of 2011. A sale arranger has valued Telekom Srbija at EUR2.43 billion (USD3.28 billion).
