MNP delayed by at least six months

Local newspaper Vecernje Novosti is reporting that the introduction of mobile number portability (MNP) in Serbia has been delayed by at least six months because the tender to supply the necessary equipment has been called off. However, the Serbian news agency Tanjug quoted unnamed officials at the telecommunications regulator Ratel as saying that more information will be available following a 20 November meeting of a working group on MNP, which will make a final decision on when the service can be launched commercially.
