Serbia Minister for the Economy Mladjan Dinkic is quoted in local press as saying that he hopes the planned sale of 51% of Telekom Srbija will raise at least EUR1.4 billion (USD1.9 billion). Belgrade has set a deadline of 26 November for interested parties to place their bids, with the sale expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2011. Telekom Austria, Deutsche Telekom and France Telecom are all rumoured to be interested. Under the terms of the tender, bidders must have five years experience in the telecoms business, at least 20 million fixed and mobile subscribers and a market capitalisation of at least EUR3 billion.
