Intertelecom launching Rev B next quarter

7 Oct 2010

Ukrainian CDMA mobile operator Intertelecom (IT CDMA) is partnering Alcatel-Lucent to boost its mobile broadband data speeds by upgrading its CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev A equipment to Rev B, over which it aims to reach download rates of up to 14.7Mbps. Telecompaper reports that Rev B testing is planned to start in December, with commercial services scheduled for the first quarter of 2011. TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database says that Intertelecom’s Rev A coverage had reached 24 regions of Ukraine by mid-2010.
