Astelit agrees deal with Ether to introduce DVB-H

Ukraine’s third largest mobile network operator Astelit (life:)) has struck an agreement with domestic digital TV provider Ether to introduce mobile TV services in the country based on the DVB-H standard, writes Telecompaper citing a report from Vsesmi.ru which quotes Ukrainian telecoms regulatory head Vladimir Oleinik. According to the report Ether has begun deployment of a DVB-H broadcasting network and plans to transmit up to 16 Ukrainian TV channels.
