22 Sep 2010

T-Mobile Netherlands has concluded a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) agreement with Elephant Talk Communications, an international provider of business software, concerning the launch of pre-paid services under the former’s Ben brand. T-Mobile says that as a result of the tie-up, it is launching Ben-branded pay-as-you-go services through various distribution channels and offering, amongst other things, increased functionalities to the Dutch consumer market. It is understood T-Mobile’s new service will operate on Elephant Talk’s Mobile Virtual Network Enabling (MVNE) platform. The two companies signed the hosting agreement in May this year with Steven van der Velden, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Elephant Talk, saying that within just a few months the pair are now ready to introduce a comprehensive range of services to the domestic market, thanks to the effectiveness and flexibility of the MVNE’s mobile convergent platform.
